General News Band Family,

A HUGE THANK YOU goes to Kelly Harrah and her daughter, Helen, for coordinating the awards night concert. You did an amazing job! Also, thank you to the many volunteers (parents and students) who helped prepare and clean our "auditorium" before and after the concert. You are appreciated.

Because of the lateness of the hour, all students who prepared to perform small ensembles at the concert did not get to perform. These students will have the option to perform at our next concert on May 12th at the amphitheater. I am excited that so many students desire to do chamber music!

Lastly, I would like extend my deepest apologies to our top marching band student leaders from the 2007 marching season...our DRUM MAJORS. We failed to give the drum major awards at the awards concert. These three deserving young ladies will receive their awards at the May concert. They worked extremely hard all year, and have been great examples to the young people in the band. Please join me in congratulating KATE HOUGHTON, CORINN SILVESTRI, and JESSICA FAULKNER for a job well done!

Again, thank you all for a wonderful year with the FCHS Band!
