JOB OPENING - 2009-10 MARCHING SEASON

Title: Percussion Instructors (2 positions) - Battery Technician AND Front Ensemble Technician

Salary: Negotiable/Paid by Boosters

Description: Two positions available for 2009-109 season. Assist Caption Head as a Battery Technician or a Front Ensemble Technician for the Fayette County High School Marching Band. Drum Corps or previous experience with a regionally competitive high school marching band preferred, but not required. Contact Myra Rhoden, Director of Bands, via email at rhoden.myra@fcboe.org.


Fayetteville Golf Club (formerly River's Edge Golf Course) - May 10, 2010

The Fayette County High School Band Annual Golf Tournament helps to enable students at Fayette County High School to participate in events like the 2009 New Years Day parade in London, England, 2007 Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, California, 2005 New Years Day parade in London, England, the 2004 Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. The tournament is a four man Lauderdale format with dinner and awards to follow. Tee time is 1:00 Pm with entry fees starting at just a $75 donation.

The Miss Pride of Fayette County Pageant has been an annual event for the past 40 years. Approximately 150 contestants in age groups ranging from 3 years to 12th grade will compete for a crown and prizes including a savings bond and gifts donated by local merchants.

The winner will participate in several parades and some public apperances during her reign. Previous winners of the Miss Pride of Fayette County pageant have gone on to be crowned Miss Teen Georgia and even Miss Georgia.

Each top ten finalist will receive a portion of her beauty fees paid to participate in the Georgia Beauty Pageant State Finals which will be held later in the year.
